Pauline Bowen

Pauline spent more than 25 years, earning a reputation among peers and prison staff as a highly trusted and model inmate.

Though remorseful for her actions, she never denied responsibility for shooting the victim who had been abusive towards her sons.

The Board of Parole Hearings found her suitable for parole at multiple hearings.  She was released in 2009, after Governor Schwarzeneggar allowed her fifth grant of parole to stand.
